wireless connection acting up after downgrading vista to xp

sup yall, i have a problem and i cant figure it out. i just downgraded from vista to xp on saturday and ever since i cant get files to download at the speed that i used to get on vista. i have an 8 meg connection, with vista, i got the full 900+kps per file, now, im getn like 100+kps per file. even with lime. can someone help me out?
