Okay, so after a lot of speculation I decided to reencode ALLiANCE's release, which was fantastic quality, by the way. I used a very simple filter method with very effective results. Of course, there are a lot of other blurred releases around out there, some of better quality too, but I'd just like to take a moment to let you all know what it is in THIS release.
1. I've blurred out, to the best of my abilities, the watermarks.
2. I've very, very slightly brightened up the picture and I've not made it as sharp as ALLiANCE's release because then the blur has the chance of standing out more than it already is, but the softening is very little just like the increase in brightness.
3. The size is about 29 mb more than the 700mb ALLiANCE release, I did this because I didn't want to really compromise on quality, but as we all know, reencoding will naturally mean some loss of quality. I have minimized this to the best of my abilities.
4. The sound is now CBR at 128kbps. I expected to run into this problem when I put the file into my software to do the blurring. Usually, VBR is the scene standard, and this movie was synced at 114.4kbps VBR ± 14.4kbps. When reencoding, this can cause a lot of screwups during sync, so I ended up taking a chance, and reencoding to 128 kbps. The sound, so far, seems perfectly fine because I reprocessed it.
5. The video is an Xvid release. No surprises there. Size constraints.
6. I've tried my best not to put a complete blanket blur on the whole watermark because that looks like trash.
7. This is NOT stolen from a P2P release. I have made this myself.
8. I have also used the expertise of edwoodweb(who didn't actually directly help me) to do this release.
If you like what you're seeing from the screenshots below, you're more than welcome to download it, otherwise, there are plenty of other versions out there that you can use. I do assure you though that this release would not be something you regret downloading, because I have kept quality as high as I can, even for a 729 mb release.
Also, just to let you know, this is my first time reencoding something for this forum.
