-=SUMMONER 1=-
After hours of searching for this game I could only find one source for it that was alive, and that was on Demonoid. Thanks to the CRIA threatening their hosts they have had to take the site down, as a result of which all torrents originating from Demonoid are no longer working. This upload is to make it available once again
-=INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE=-
Download using the links below. Mount Summoner_01.nrg using Daemon Tools and follow the installation instructions, mounting Summoner_02.nrg in place of the other image file when prompted.
As an alternative to mounting images in Daemon Tools you may wish to burn them to CD using your favourite CD/DVD writing software. The game should still run fine using physical discs instead of image files, but do please test them before deleting the files.
Once installation is complete it is important to patch the game, the launcher includes an automated facility for this. I do not want to hear support requests for unpatched copies.
Summoner 1 will run only when Summoner_01.nrg is mounted in Daemon Tools, or a physical copy of it is in one of your CD/DVD drives.
-=DISCLAIMER=-
I am uploading this purely because it is an old game and no longer in production, therefore it is hard to find. If you like the game and do happen to find a copy then please buy it.
Edit - Please note the Read me file included is different to the instructions contained here. This is because the files are simply a repackaged upload of the now defunct Demonoid torrent
Edit 2 - I know the risk of this is dramatically reduced since this is a direct download instead of a torrent, and no one has reported this as an issue. However, I would still like to draw attention to the file sizes. Please check them when you have finished downloading. If they vary by even a single byte then you probably have a corrupt download. To check, unzip the files, right click the resulting files one by one and click properties for each one. The value you need to pay attention to is "Size", NOT "Size on Disk". The reason these two values differ is the universal standard measurement is units of 1024 (thanks to the way binary works). However, when the CD format and all subsequent derivatives such as DVD were formed, they chose to use a measurment of 1000 units. Obviously this causes a difference in reported file size, dependant on format. However, on any hard disk the measurement will be units of 1024, thus this figure will remain constant no matter what system you are running.
